Lucky Bakes at Panchavati

On 20 June, I was back at The Merchants of Happiness β€” A Summer of 100 Stories, this time under the trees at beautiful Panchavati, Malleswaram. A heritage building as the backdrop, stalls all around, and four hours of baking joy.

I brought my full menu β€” Biscoff Cheesecake, Chocolate Brownies, Choco Chunk Cookies, and Hibiscus Lemonade. The brownies went first. Then everything else followed.

Second pop-up. Second sold-out. Every treat gone, every customer happy. Thank you to everyone who came to find Lucky Bakes at Panchavati. 🧑

How Lucky Bakes began

My real name is Lakshyya, but everyone calls me Lucky. I'm 11, I go to Inventure Academy in Bengaluru, and I live at Brigade Gateway.

I started baking when I was really young β€” I just loved watching how flour, butter, and sugar could turn into something magical in the oven.

I love sports too β€” football, cricket, table tennis β€” and being outdoors. But when the weekend comes, I'm not thinking about playgrounds. I'm thinking: what am I going to bake this weekend?

I've put up stalls at my school (Inventure Academy) and at my apartment complex (Brigade Gateway). Each one teaches me something new. Each one makes me better.

One day, I want to go to French bakery school and become a world-class baker. ✨ This is just the beginning.

Lucky's First Big Stall

On 16 May, I set up my stall at the Padukone–Dravid Centre for Sports Excellence for the CSE Γ— Merchants of Happiness Community Day. It was the biggest crowd I'd ever baked for.

I spent the whole week before baking, prepping, and making sure every single thing was from scratch β€” the Biscoff spread, the cream cheese, the hibiscus lemonade with real flowers. Everything.

All 95 treats sold out. I couldn't believe it. Thank you to everyone who stopped by, tried my food, and believed in Lucky Bakes. This is just the beginning. 🧑
